About Prime Portal Prime portal is a free web site set up as a collecting point for military photos and modelers reference from around the world.  The goal of the site is to create the largest collection of Military and Aviation photos on the net. History Back in 2001, I found an M60A3 on static display and shot my first walk around.  I found that there was a lot of interest in these pictures while talking with modelers in various forums.  On October 26th, 2001 I set up Prime Portal as a way to make these photos available to the modeling community.  There were requests for more detail on the tank, so I went back and shot a second, more detailed, walk around and posted that one as well.  After that, I put up a walk around of LAWs Rocket and a WWII 3" Anti-tank Gun. The site sat idle for a while until other people started asking about adding photos.  From there, the site exploded!  Currently there are over 70 contributors from 18 countries and over 38,000 photos (stats as of Sept 2005) and the new stuff just keeps on coming! Future Plans As the site keeps growing servers will continue to be added to support the additional demand.  Currently this site runs on three different servers.  New features will be added as the demand and desires of the users evolve.  Follow these links if you would like to submit photos or donate financially to the website.
